Well since it has been 4 months since the last post I figure I had better make an entry. To be honest I have totally forgotten about the blog until I was sifting through the long list of read emails in my inbox.

Life has been going great!! Josh is now 6 months and growing like a weed, Jake is 3 and somehow managed to become a little adult overnight!! Mr. Independent gets dressed for pre-school every morning by himself and picks out his own clothes most of the time- which has made me re-think putting a basket for his dirty clothes in there because he has come out many times with yesterday's clothes on and then the battle begins to put clean clothes on him! Or it is the battle of mommy and daddy not wanting to watch Toy Story for the 100th time! Josh is sitting up for a short period of time and then he just gets tired and folds himself in half but he is getting better and better each day. At his last doctors visit he was 16 lbs 3 oz and 27 3/4 inches long

Halloween was great both the boys were dogs and just too cute for words-Jake trick or treated in Grandma and Papa's neighborhood and after he realized the concept he was running from house to house.

Check back from time to time for funny "Jacobisms" as I call them... here are a few to leave you with

  • One morning he was pestering us for some Pringles at 6 am and I told him we don't eat chips for breakfast they are for lunch. Well about an hour later when I was getting him breakfast I asked what he wanted and he mater of factly told me "I was lunch for breakfast"
  • We were in the grocery store and he was in one of those carts with the car on the front and he is "driving" while I am shopping and then all of the sudden I hear "Put the phone down asshole" come out of my child's mouth and he is yelling this at the lady at the end of the aisle!! Trying not to die laughing I tell him we don't repeat things daddy says while driving!

Twinkle, Twinkle

I mentioned in the first blog that Jake loves to sing to Josh. Here is a great video (and our favorite of all) that Kelly got of him singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

The Beginning

My cousin and his wife started a page here and I loved it so much, I thought I would start one of my own. I had one for Jake for about a year after he was born, but life intervened and I never went back to it. I figure here, Kelly and I can both easily add to this page and keep everyone up to date on our day to day lives.

Everything is going pretty good for us. I recently got a promotion within Cox to a Customer Support Supervisor. I have been trying for this position for quite a while now and I finally got it! My first day is tomorrow and I am very excited and nervous at the same time. When I started with the company I was a Technical Support Rep, so it is almost like going home. There are still a lot of people that I know and they have all welcomed me back with open arms (I have already gone back for some training and ran into a lot of people while I was there). I was working in Dispatch as a Line Dispatcher and was happy, but needed some new challenges. My last day there was Wednesday (my schedule was Sunday through Wednesday) and I was almost sad to be leaving, but not quite. Kelly is back to work now after taking maternity leave and seems to be glad to be back. She really enjoys being able to take Josh to work with her when she needs to (or just wants to). Jake is doing very well as a big brother. Ever since we brought Josh home he has been very concerned with everything that Josh is doing and does what he can to help out. Even if that means trying to cram a pacifier down his throat when he is crying, or even singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star when he is not happy. Kelly and I are both very proud of him!

Both Kelly and I will be making additions to the site to keep it up to date, so make sure you check back often!
